Re: Php 5

To the best of my knowledge KDA are not, at the moment, supporting php5 and I would guess that it will probably be some time before it is implemented - it needs to be proven to be stable first.

Re: Php 5

I thought I saw an article that invision power board version 1.3 will not work with php5.

Now I know version 2 is just out and does support it, but i really can't be arsed upgrading just for the sake of it. I'm happy with php4

Re: Php 5

Hi Guys,

We did run a test program for customers to run PHP5 in CGI mode, but that has now ceased, the conclusion being:

1) Current web servers will continue to run PHP4
2) All new web servers will run PHP5

Also, on the mySQL front:

1) Current database servers will continue to run mySQL 3.23.x
2) New database servers will run mySQL 4.x

Thanks,

Re: Php 5

As an update to this, we are looking to provide PHP5 support concurrantly with PHP4 on existing web servers - Unfortuately we're having a few issues with PHP5 refusing to run in CGI mode at the moment.

Re: Php 5

Hi,

We're going to be adding a new web server shortly (Read: Within the next week) which will run PHP5 and anyone who has a genuine need, will be able to have their account moved to it.

Thanks,

Re: Php 5

It's interesting to note that I moved my site over to KDA based on them telling me that they would have PHP5 available soon.

Here we are approx 12 months later, and still no PHP5 service.

Re: Php 5

Hi,

As replied to via PM, PHP5 is available (and has been for a long while now), it just requires moving your site(s) to a different server.

Thanks,
